Hello Everyone,  This is a test

 

As we all expected, with the new pastor, there would be changes.  So far, these changes have been painless.  Father Roy Beeching has been a pleasure to work with. 

 

We have not had Sacristans in the past.  We now have them.  Below are the general guidelines for Sacristans.

SACRISTAN SET-UP FOR:

 

All Masses:

        Key in tabernacle and turn on light

        Turn on font

        Unlock all doors

        Turn on lights in sanctuary

        Turn on sound system

        Check wireless mike battery

        Lectionary marked for today’s readings

        Petitions placed in black folder (Father will have)

        Book of Prayers moved to table near center aisle

Place on Altar

        Set the Corporal off center to the right side for cups.    Place Sacramentary[1] to the left side of Corporal with red       ribbon set to proper week.                                                      

 

4:00 & 8:30 Mass

        Large dish for hosts – need about 250 hosts

        Large carafe of wine – filled over the wide base

        Priest’s chalice with purificator and paten

        4 purificators put into 4 cups

        Key in tabernacle and turn on light

        Place on credence table in sanctuary:

4 cups w/ purificators

4 dishes

Finger towel

        Water pitcher and bowl

       

        Place on table for gifts:

        Large dish with hosts

        Carafe

        Chalice with paten

12:00 Mass

        Large dish for hosts – need about 200 hosts

        Small carafe of wine – filled over the wide base

        Priest’s chalice with purificator and paten

        2 purificators put into 2 cups

        Key in tabernacle and turn on light

        Place on credence table in sanctuary:

2 cups w/ purificators

2 dishes

Finger towel

        Water pitcher and bowl

       

        Place on table for gifts:

        Large dish with hosts

        Carafe
